Been busy and stressed lately. For some reason, even though I'm online a lot due to summer break, I haven't visited dA in...a while. This is partly because I haven't had anything to scan in and post, but...eh. I've missed this place. Looking through other artists' works kind of relaxes and inspires me. I should come back more often.

My senior exhibit is coming up this fall, so I'm going to have to pull it together. I've been working with themes and concepts for it, and I've narrowed it down to either working with darker-themed tarot cards on large canvases, goddess images, or trying to push my color field experimentation a little farther. If I go with color fields, though, I think I should double my output and try to work in a few abstracted objects and figures for interest--mostly in the background and semi-obscured by the color fields. Dreamstates, too, are something I want to work with, and I think the aformentioned color fields/abstractions would work well with that theme. Regardless, I've gotten a couple of concept sketches for the tarot theme knocked out (the Fool and the Magician); actually, come to think about it, since dream interpretation and tarot are methods of divination it would be cool to use them together. I think I'd probably work the tarot cards in as smaller, limited color drawings rather than larger paintings. Mmm...maybe prints? I dunno.

I've finally remembered where I stashed the software for this old clunker scanner, so I'm going to upload it now so I can scan a few sketches in later. I can't sleep anyway, so why not?

Hmm...it seems a few of my older works have gone missing. Wonder what's up with that?
